Searching for Donkey Skin

I've never heard of anyone doing anything like this before, at least not for a film: archaeologists are trying to locate the locations where Jacques Demy shot his film Peau d'âne, awkwardly translated as Donkey Skin. It's one thing to look for a Degas painting with a particle accelerator, but quite another to recreate the location shooting of a movie that's only 46 years old.
